Job summary

INSPYR Solutions seeks a seasoned Software Asset Management (SAM) Lead to support a large federal enterprise environment in Windsor Mill, MD. You will oversee the full software asset lifecycle, drive governance, compliance, audit readiness, and cost optimization across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAM, ServiceNow SAM Pro, software licensing, and asset governance, partnering with Infrastructure, Security, Procurement, Finance, and Risk Management to protect

Qualifications

7+ years of enterprise-wide SAM program management.
5+ years with ServiceNow SAM Pro and HAM Pro.
Strong knowledge of software licensing, contract management and asset lifecycle.
Experience with asset data normalization, catalog management, and reporting.
Advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree with experience; or Master's with experience; or 13+ years of relevant experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Onsite five days per week in Windsor Mill/Woodlawn, MD.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end SAM lifecycle including procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement.
Lead and guide technical teams on SAM initiatives.
Ensure accurate software inventory reporting and documentation for compliance.
Track entitlements, monitor license utilization, and conduct internal reviews.
Perform analysis in ServiceNow SAM Pro for visibility and optimization.
Onboard new software products into ServiceNow with stakeholder engagement.
Develop and maintain software asset governance policies and controls.
Respond to audits and resolve licensing discrepancies.
Identify automation opportunities to improve governance and reporting.
Analyze usage, contracts, licensing, and renewal timelines.
Drive software consolidation and cost optimization across the enterprise.
Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Procurement, Finance, and Risk teams.
