Job summary

WSP is seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to manage end-to-end lifecycle, licensing compliance, governance, and cost optimisation for COTS software across collaboration, productivity and utilities tools. You will own data integrity in ServiceNow, support audits, renewals, and cost-saving initiatives while collaborating with regional procurement teams to align with global strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong grasp of commercial licensing models — subscription vs perpetual, per-user vs per-device, and vendor agreements such as Adobe VIP / ETLA.
• 5+ years in an ITIL-aligned operational role in Software Asset Management (or similar), ideally with a COTS/desktop software focus.
• Hands-on experience of discovery, software metering, and reconciling deployments against entitlements with tools such as Snow License Manager.
• ITIL framework knowledge and ITIL qualification.
• Experience with Intune deployment/inventory (and SCCM/Configuration Manager).
• Knowledge of ServiceNow and vendor license management processes.
• Ability to meet SLAs, operate with discipline, and communicate effectively across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory and CMDB in ServiceNow for all COTS assets.
• Monitor license deployments against agreements to ensure compliance.
• Capture license entitlements, proofs of purchase, and activation details.
• Support vendor audits and license reviews with accurate position statements.
• Produce reports and dashboards on usage, compliance, and vendor performance.
