JOB SUMMARY

Software Asset Manager - ServiceNow SAM Pro is r esponsible for leading and evolving software asset management (SAM) practices across the organization using ServiceNow ITSM and SAM Pro. This role ensures compliance, cost optimization, and strategic alignment with licensing and software usage policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of strategic SAM initiatives to enable cross-business synergies with preferred supplier partners.
• Create and communicate effective SAM policies to minimize cost, mitigate licensing risks, and maximize value.
• Maintain SAM tools and manage software review and true-up processes.
• Serve as primary resource during internal or vendor audits, ensuring timely responses and mitigation plans.
• Define and oversee usage, compliance, and savings metrics; provide routine and ad-hoc reporting.
• Collaborate with IT, procurement, and vendor leads to align on SAM roadmap, usage reporting, and audit processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Asset or Configuration Management, with enterprise-level SAM in ServiceNow.

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of software inventory, compliance, licensing models, entitlement reconciliation, and usage tracking.
• Proficient in ServiceNow ITSM and SAM Pro modules; hands‑on experience with CMDB and Service Catalog.
• Familiarity with ITIL and COBIT frameworks, and audit readiness protocols.
