Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to design, develop, and administer ServiceNow applications for ITSM and ITOM in a DoD‑related environment. You will manage on‑premises instances, implement core modules, and integrate with REST/SOAP APIs while aligning with ITIL practices.

The role requires 5+ years in relevant engineering, a TS/SCI‑eligible clearance, and the ability to travel up to 10% within 75 miles. Strong collaboration and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or ability to obtain SCI
• 5+ years of software design, development, or enterprise platform engineering
• 3+ years of ServiceNow administration and development (Glide scripting, UI customization, integrations)
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web technologies
• Experience with LDAP, SSO, and Web Service integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Strong ITIL knowledge and ServiceNow governance
• Ability to work 40 hours/week Mon–Fri and occasional overtime
• Travel 5–10% within 75 miles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow apps, modules, and integrations for ITSM/ITOM
• Administer on‑premises/hosted ServiceNow instance, ensuring performance and availability
• Implement core applications: Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog, Service Portal
• Develop UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Workflow Studio logic
• Manage data imports and integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, and other data exchanges
• Apply CSDM principles for accurate service mapping and CMDB relationships
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to meet DoD security requirements
• Support patches, upgrades, and releases with minimal service disruption
• Participate in Agile sprints, backlog grooming, and design sessions
• Document new functionality and conduct impact analyses
