Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer specializing in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management. The role partners with the SPM Product Owner to deliver roadmap initiatives, enhancements, and integrations while ensuring alignment with platform architecture and governance.

The position supports other ServiceNow products as needed. You will lead design, development, and integrations, mentor developers, and drive secure, scalable solutions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/MIS or equivalent.
• Experience with SPM capabilities: PPM, Demand, Resource, Financial, Time, Project Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, configuration, and support of ServiceNow SPM solutions.
• Partner with the SPM Product Owner to refine requirements, estimate work, and support prioritization.
• Translate roadmaps into secure, scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Data Policies, and API integrations.
• Design and support integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub.
• Provide technical leadership through planning, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Perform code reviews, mentor developers, promote secure development practices.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex platform issues.
• Support upgrades, release validation, and knowledge transfer.
• Promote out-of-the-box capabilities, governance, and reduce technical debt.
