Job summary

Transamerica in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer focused on ServiceNow SPM to join the Platform Team. You will collaborate with the Product Owner to deliver roadmap initiatives, enhancements, integrations, and ongoing governance while ensuring scalable, secure solutions.

The role emphasizes advanced ServiceNow development (JavaScript, Flow Designer, APIs), mentoring developers, and supporting upgrades in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, MIS, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, configuration, and support of ServiceNow SPM solutions.
• Partner with the SPM Product Owner to refine requirements, estimate work, and support prioritization.
• Translate product roadmap priorities into secure, scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Data Policies, and Flow Designer solutions.
• Design and support integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and APIs.
• Provide technical leadership during planning, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Perform code reviews, mentor developers, and promote secure development practices.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex issues.
• Support upgrades, release validation, and knowledge transfer.
• Promote out-of-the-box capabilities, governance, and standardization.
