Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer specializing in ServiceNow SPM. You will lead design, development, and integration of SPM solutions, partnering with the Product Owner to refine requirements and prioritize work.

Expect hands-on development, leadership, and collaboration in an agile environment. The role supports upgrades, governance, and documentation while promoting best practices and out-of-the-box capabilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and configuring ServiceNow SPM solutions.
• Experience with Project Portfolio Management, Demand, Resource, Financial, Time and Project Workspace in SPM.
• Advanced ServiceNow development including JavaScript, Flow Designer, integrations, and APIs.
• Ability to design scalable solutions and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Strong collaboration with Product Owners, project teams, and stakeholders in Agile.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, configuration, and support of ServiceNow SPM solutions.
• Partner with the SPM Product Owner to refine requirements, estimate work, and support prioritization.
• Translate roadmap priorities into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Data Policies, Flow Designer solutions, integrations, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Design and support integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and other approved ServiceNow capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership throughout planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Perform code reviews, mentor developers, and promote secure and maintainable development practices.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex platform and application issues.
• Support upgrades, release validation, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Promote out-of-the-box capabilities, platform standardization, governance, and technical debt reduction.
