Job summary

vTech Solution in Washington, DC seeks a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead development, administration, and ongoing enhancements of the ServiceNow platform across district-wide processes in a large public-sector educational organization.

You will own the instance, configure ITSM, HRSD, S2P, ITAM modules, design Catalog items and workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions while ensuring upgrade readiness and comprehensive technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
• Minimum five years of hands-on ServiceNow administration with instance ownership.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow components: forms, lists, dictionary, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, roles, ACLs, update sets.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM knowledge.
• Experience in public sector, K-12 education, or regulated environments.

• Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and ServiceNow partners as needed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on ServiceNow administration experience, including instance ownership or co‑ownership.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform components: forms, lists, tables, dictionary configuration, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, roles, ACLs, update sets, and platform administration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM process knowledge.
• Experience working in public sector, K 12 education, or other highly regulated environments.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, S2P, CSM, or SecOps.
• Experience building or supporting system integrations using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and data imports.

Special Considerations:

• Absences greater than two weeks require prior approval and must provide contact information during absence.
• Compliance with strict vendor and contract terms, including no reimbursable expenses and adherence to hourly rate caps.
• Work within a public‑sector educational environment with associated regulatory requirements.
