Job summary

City and County of San Francisco’s Department of Technology seeks a Principal ServiceNow Implementation Specialist to lead enterprise ServiceNow initiatives. You will oversee development, configuration, and integration, delivering scalable ITSM solutions and automated workflows in a complex public-sector environment.

This senior role requires hands-on expertise with UI Builder, REST/SOAP integrations, and platform governance, plus strong communication to coordinate across IT teams.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in information systems, including system analysis and IT project management.
• Hands-on experience configuring and developing ServiceNow SOW, UI Builder, and integrations.
• Solid understanding of ITIL framework and ITOM basics; familiarity with admin/developer roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical authority for ServiceNow, guiding design, development, testing and deployment.
• Lead the development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM modules, custom apps, and automation workflows.
• Architect scalable platform solutions using REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server; define scalable integration approaches.
• Provide knowledge transfer and participate in QA cycles and release management.
