Job summary

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) in Washington, DC, is seeking a ServiceNow Architect to lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions that meet ITSM, ITAM, and change management needs across DC government projects.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, guide development teams, and ensure governance, security, and performance while building scalable, enterprise-grade platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• CTA and CIS certifications preferred.
• Proven experience with enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
• Deep ServiceNow knowledge across ITSM, ITOM, ITFM, HRSD, PPM, SPM.
• REST, SOAP integrations experience.
• Strong communication across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end ServiceNow solutions aligned with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and ensure best practices.
• Gather and translate requirements into technical specs and design docs.
• Develop on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS.
• Design and implement REST/SOAP/MID Server integrations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize performance and scalability.
• Ensure governance, security controls, and audit readiness.
• Create technical documentation and deliver training.
