Job summary

Credit Acceptance Corporation is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to design and build AI-powered self-service experiences for employees. You will use ServiceNow as the governing workflow to automate and streamline common requests, while ensuring security and governance across integrations.

You will partner with product and business teams to simplify processes, create reusable enterprise actions, and maintain strong engineering quality from discovery to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of enterprise software or platform engineering experience with ServiceNow (workflows, data models, access controls, JavaScript, APIs, integrations).
• Experience delivering enterprise self-service, conversational AI, automation, or agent-based solutions with measurable adoption.
• SDLC/ADLC experience including Agile/SCRUM, testing, release management, and DevOps practices.
• Experience building secure cloud-based applications with SOC 2 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Engineer AI-powered self-service using ServiceNow conversations, workflows, and agent capabilities.
• Find friction points and simplify before automating; prioritize opportunities with stakeholders.
• Build reusable, governance-aware enterprise actions and APIs; integrate with secured contracts and retries.
• Design secure access controls, least-privilege roles, and audit trails; support approvals and SOPs.
• Monitor production reliability, track metrics, and automate regression tests; participate in on-call rotations.
