Job summary

Credit Acceptance Corporation is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to design and build AI-powered employee self-service experiences using ServiceNow as the governing workflow. You will own the engineering quality from discovery through production and partner with Enterprise Business Applications, Digital Workplace, and enterprise AI teams.

The role supports remote work with occasional travel to Southfield, Michigan, and requires strong governance of data, security, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of enterprise software or platform engineering experience, including substantial hands-on ServiceNow experience across workflow automation, data models, access controls, JavaScript, platform APIs, and integrations.
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise self-service, conversational AI, intelligent automation, or agent-based solutions, with measurable adoption.
• Practical expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC), including Agile/SCRUM practices, testing, release management and DevOps practices.
• Experience building secure, compliant cloud-based applications, including access controls and sensitive data handling; familiarity with standards such as SOC 2.

Responsibilities

• Engineer AI-powered self-service using ServiceNow conversations, workflows, and agent capabilities with deterministic automation.
• Prioritize opportunities with product owners and stakeholders to simplify processes before automating.
• Design secure integrations with defined contracts, retries, and rollback for governed services.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and mentoring to engineers across teams.
• Establish and monitor production reliability, logs, alerts, and governance for AI-enabled workflows.
