Job summary

Credit Acceptance seeks an experienced Software Engineer to drive AI-powered self-service initiatives using ServiceNow. You will design, implement, and govern scalable automation that improves experiences and supports informed decisions.

You will collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to apply deterministic automation, review prompts and models, and ensure responsible AI practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field.
• 6+ years of enterprise software or platform engineering with ServiceNow experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise self-service, conversational AI, or intelligent automation.
• SDLC and ADLC knowledge with Agile/SCRUM practices, testing, release management, and DevOps.
• Experience building secure, compliant cloud-based applications with access controls and data handling; SOC 2 familiarity.
• Candidates must reside in or relocate to SF Bay Area, CA.

Responsibilities

• Engineer AI-powered self-service using ServiceNow, knowledge, workflows, and agent capabilities.
• Prioritize opportunities with product owners and business stakeholders; minimize customization.
• Improve enterprise context for AI with proper permissions and data grounding.
• Define evaluation scenarios and release criteria; test prompts, models, and tools.
• Create reusable, governed actions and API exposures for enterprise processes.
• Implement least-privilege roles, secrets management, and audit trails.
• Measure productivity by baselineing cycle time, steps removed, and savings.
• Own production reliability for platform capabilities and integrations; monitor and test.
