Jobtailor in Missouri is seeking a Serviceability Engineer to represent advanced serviceability and remanufacturability during the Design Development Process. You will participate in Product Engineering meetings and help address service issues.

You will manage GM Defense deliverables such as Service Parts, Technical Manuals, Maintenance Allocation Charts, repair parts, and diagnostic software, while providing technical direction and cross-functional support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of professional experience in related fields.
  • Experience in Serviceability Engineering, Field Service, or Product Support.
  • Ability to read engineering schematics.
  • Eligibility for Secret U.S. Security Clearance and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Represent advanced serviceability and remanufacturability during the Design Development Process
  • Participate in Product Engineering meetings and peer reviews to identify, address, or escalate service issues
  • Manage GM Defense deliverables including Service Parts, Technical Manuals, Maintenance Allocation Charts, Repair Parts & Special Tools, diagnostic software, service programming, pre-delivery inspection forms, and customer service information
  • Lead identification of service parts and development of the Service Parts Bill of Materials
  • Support development and validation of service special tools and procedures
  • Provide support for emerging and quality issues
  • Provide technical support to program management, Product Engineering, Parts Release, Remanufacturing, Service Training, Warranty Center, Technical Assistance, Assembly Plants, Field Support, and suppliers
  • Implement cost reductions and math improvements across department programs
  • Provide technical direction to support personnel
  • Communicate information to and from internal and external customer organizations
  • Stay current with new technology and driven practices
  • Perform special assignments as requested

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Serviceability Engineering, Field Service, Product Support, or a related field
  • 5 years of professional experience
  • Practical diagnostic, technical, or field experience
  • Ability to read engineering schematics
  • Familiarity with service information diagnostics and/or authoring
  • Ability to make decisions autonomously, manage workload, and escalation when necessary
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven problem-solving expertise
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee
  • Eligible to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance after hire
  • Must be eligible to access classified information at the Secret U.S. Security Clearance level
  • Must comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • No GM immigration sponsorship available now or in the future
  • Willingness to travel less than 25%
