Job summary

GM Defense seeks an experienced Serviceability Engineer to support design development and ensure serviceability and remanufacturability across global vehicle platforms. You will participate in engineering reviews to elevate service issues and drive readiness of service deliverables.

Responsibilities include leading service parts BOM development, tool and procedure validation, and providing technical guidance to program management, field teams, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• Ability to read engineering schematics.
• Familiarity with service information diagnostics and/or authoring.
• Ability to obtain CAC and Secret clearance eligibility.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Represent serviceability and remanufacturability during the Design Development Process.
• Participate in Product Engineering meetings and peer reviews to identify service issues.
• Support service deliverable readiness for GM Defense vehicles globally.
• Lead identification of service parts and development of the Service Parts Bill of Materials.
• Support development and validation of service tools and procedures.
• Provide support for emerging and quality issues and coordinate with partners.
• Provide technical direction to support personnel and communicate with internal/external customers.
