Job summary

GM Defense seeks a Serviceability Design Engineer to ensure serviceability readiness of vehicle programs. You will contribute during design development, participate in engineering reviews, and escalate service issues per GM best practices and IPS requirements.

Role requires familiarity with ITAR, ability to work across departments, and strong diagnostics and schematic reading skills. Hybrid work with travel expectations up to 25% may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience in serviceability engineering, field service, or product support
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Ability to read engineering schematics
• Familiarity with service information diagnostics and authoring
• CAC eligibility and US security clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Lead service parts identification and BOM support.
• Develop and validate service tools and procedures.
• Support for emerging and quality issues across teams.
• Provide technical direction to internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers; stay current with new tech.
• Handle special assignments as requested.
