Job summary

GM Defense is seeking a defense engineer to apply expertise across programs, focusing on survivability, integration, and mission-critical performance of military platforms and autonomous technologies.

You will design, develop, integrate, validate, support, and test defense-related systems while collaborating with GM Defense Talent Acquisition on background and career interests. Expect on-site work at a GM location with strict export controls and U.S. person status requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in engineering, CS, math, physics, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience on defense, military, aerospace, or government programs.
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative engineering solutions.
U.S. Person status required; no immigration sponsorship; subject to export control restrictions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience supporting defense, military, aerospace, or government programs
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative engineering solutions
Experience designing, developing, integrating, validating, supporting, or testing defense-related systems, vehicles, platforms, sensors, communications equipment, autonomous technologies, or mission-critical hardware/software solutions
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
Subject to export control restrictions
Expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week
