Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC is seeking a Service/Repair Technician 2 to provide on-site support for Hobart Service customers, including installation, service, and maintenance of commercial food equipment. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude with problem-solving and strong customer service skills.

The position involves a routine schedule with on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekend on-site repair duties, traveling to customer sites and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years electrical and mechanical experience.
• HVACR experience with EPA certification or HVACR EPA certification preferred.
• Vocational certificate in HVACR.
• Industry certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs and assists in mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment installations.
• Diagnoses and repairs basic mechanical equipment for customers on contract or T&M.
• Interprets and follows schematic diagrams and service manuals.
• Documents preventive maintenance and follows Hobart Service safety programs.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment and industry trends; supports branch financial objectives through quality customer service.
