Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC seeks a Service/Repair Technician 2 to deliver on-site support for Hobart Service customers, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of commercial food equipment. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, with on-call, after-hours and weekend commitments.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with relevant HVACR/technical experience, EPA certification where applicable, and a safety‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years electrical and mechanical experience, or HVACR experience with EPA certification, or a vocational HVACR certificate.
• Associate degree or HVACR certificate preferred.
• Industry certification desirable and position/location dependent.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs as needed.
• Diagnoses and repairs basic mechanical equipment for customers on contract or T&M basis.
• Reads schematics and follows service manuals accurately.
• Performs preventative maintenance and adheres to Hobart Service safety programs.
• Provides on-site support with focus on customer experience and safety.
