Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 2 in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform maintenance tasks across occupied and vacant units, including painting, drywall repairs, and system maintenance, while delivering excellent customer service to residents and teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The role involves on-call rotation, outdoor work, and travel between properties as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience
• 3–5 years of painting and drywall repairs
• High mechanical aptitude and safety awareness
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and work at heights
• Experience with building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy (painting, drywall, repairs)
• Independently perform system repairs (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances)
• Perform carpentry, painting, and flooring repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety tasks
• Assist residents and coworkers with timely service requests
• Occasionally support on-call rotation and property-wide improvements
