Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 1 to perform maintenance in vacant and occupied units, including painting, drywall repairs, and basic system troubleshooting. You will handle carpentry, flooring, and painting while keeping up with preventative maintenance and asset integrity.

You will interact with residents, vendors and staff, work with available tools, and participate in the on-call rotation. A valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties are required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance, painting and drywall repairs in multifamily settings.
• Ability to repair electrical and plumbing systems and service HVAC equipment.
• Carpentry and basic flooring repair skills are required.
• Comfort with customer service and resident interactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy, including painting and drywall repair.
• Perform basic system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters and HVAC.
• Carry out carpentry, drywall, and interior/exterior painting tasks as needed.
• Respond to service requests daily with moderate supervision.
• Maintain pools, grounds, logs, and city- required records; assist with improvements.
• Use company apps and travel between properties; participate in on-call rotation.
