Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager for Service Agreements to lead the development, standardization, and growth of SLA offerings across North America.

You will act as the primary commercial and proposal contact for long-term service agreements covering critical assets, shaping pricing, frameworks, and contract structures to enable timely quotations. Role requires coordinating across Service Sales, Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• 10+ years of proposal development experience.
• Technical knowledge, commercial acumen, proposal management capabilities, and customer-facing contract experience.
• Ability to collaborate across Service Sales, Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Business Development.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development and optimization of SLA and HMAX offerings across North America.
• Develop standardized service packages, coverage models, commercial structures, and repeatable lifecycle service frameworks.
• Prepare strategic service agreement proposals and tenders aligned with customer priorities and business goals.
• Coordinate technical, operational, and commercial inputs to deliver consistent, high-quality proposals.
• Develop pricing models and methodologies for labor, travel, contingency, escalation, spare parts, and commercial risk.
• Evaluate agreement profitability and risk while validating pricing assumptions and margins with Finance and Operations.
• Support customer presentations, proposal reviews, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions.
• Monitor industry trends, service models, competitor offerings, and opportunities to expand the service portfolio.
