Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance enterprise and a team of Service Technicians. You will collaborate with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location, applying leadership, service, and maintenance knowledge to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will drive maintenance planning, coaching, and performance metrics while controlling costs, and promoting a safety-first culture across the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Extensive Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership experience.
• 5 years' service and maintenance experience and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills; excellent customer service; basic computer skills (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and budget.
• Lead, plan, and measure service and maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities for optimal customer service and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide necessary skills training and coaching.
• Promote safety and discipline through leadership and accountability.
• Additional duties as needed.
