Job summary

BMW of Brooklyn is seeking a Service Advisor to coordinate customer vehicles for servicing in a state-of-the-art service area. You will write up repair orders, quotes, invoices and ensure high customer satisfaction while maximizing department profitability.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone, qualify issues for technicians, and upsell BMW parts and services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a service advisor or service writer is required.
• Candidates must possess above-average phone and communication skills.
• Must bring a positive, upbeat attitude and be comfortable upselling BMW products and services.
• Excellent follow-up and follow-through to ensure client satisfaction.
• Must be able to explain technical information in non-technical terms.
• Ability to evolve and adapt to changing business needs.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Write up repair orders, quotes and invoices; vehicle intake.
• Provide customer support via phone and face-to-face at the dealership.
• Qualify customer problems and log them for technicians to review.
• Obtain client approval for all remedial work.
• Promote BMW parts and accessories.
• Estimate costs and time for work and maintain client contact for delivery.
• Keep clients informed of repair status via phone, email, and in person; document interactions.
• Coordinate with team to adhere to commitments; process orders and invoices.
