RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to support, maintain, and improve enterprise server, virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The role requires expertise in Windows Server, VMware, Citrix, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), with a focus on automation, security, and proactive issue resolution.

The engineer will participate in patching, lifecycle management, on-call rotation, and collaboration with application teams, vendors, and customers to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years in Information Technology and Services
• Bachelor or Master in CS or related field or equivalent
• Healthcare experience helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain enterprise server, virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud infrastructure across datacenters and data rooms.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues using logs and monitoring tools.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and security remediations; manage disaster recovery events.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and collaborate with vendors and customers.
