Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Server Chipset Power Engineer to design and optimize power, performance, and thermal metrics for datacenter SoCs.

The role focuses on modeling workloads, analyzing tradeoffs, and driving KPI-aligned features in close coordination with IP, SoC, and platform teams. The ideal candidate has a deep background in CPU/SoC power estimation, low-power design, and high-performance server chip experience, with strong communication skills for a fast-paced research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 8+ years of Hardware/Software/Systems Engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 7+ years of related work experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 6+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with power estimation, modeling and optimization of CPU/SoCs; expertise in high-performance server chip power management.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end power modeling framework to support server use cases.
• Perform tradeoff analysis for various workloads / usecases.
• Identify gaps relative to targets and propose feature enhancements to meet product KPIs.
• Collaborate with IP, SoC and Platform power/thermal engineers to optimize KPIs.
• Communicate effectively in a dynamic, top-level engineering environment.
