Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead sediment remediation projects for federal and public sector clients. The candidate will manage teams, assess feasibility of remediation technologies, and communicate strategies to clients and stakeholders.

The role requires deep knowledge of CERCLA/related regulatory steps, strong analytical and leadership skills, and willingness to travel up to 10% or less to support multi-site efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience.
• Experience leading sediment remediation projects for Federal/Public sector clients.
• Strong knowledge of sediment transport, remediation design, and site assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide feasibility evaluations of sediment remediation technologies and designs.
• Lead a team of engineers/scientists on sediment projects.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients and outside consultants, including communicating complex evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with CERCLA, GLLA, and other regulatory steps/processes.
• Lead others in preparing/reviewing technical information for sound, regulatory-compliant documents.
