CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist in the United States. The role involves leading projects for Federal and Public sector clients, evaluating remediation options, and guiding teams through complex sediment site challenges.

The candidate should demonstrate independent work and team leadership, with knowledge of CERCLA and related regulatory processes, and travel up to 10%.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and port sites.
• Understand principles of sediment transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial design, and construction.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager on sediment sites, communicating technical strategy to clients.
• Possess in-depth expertise in CERCLA, GLLA, and other regulatory steps for contaminated sediment sites.
• Act as technical liaison with clients, public, and outside consultants; translate complex evaluations to non-experts.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical documents for regulatory compliance.
