Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead and execute complex remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. You will evaluate remediation technologies, design solutions, and manage technical teams while coordinating with clients and regulators.

The role requires a PE license, a Civil/Environmental/Chemical engineering background, and roughly 7 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design for riverine, coastal, and port sites.
• Understand sediment transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remediation design/construction.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
• Serve as task manager on sediment sites, communicating strategy to client and SMEs.
• Apply CERCLA, GL LA and other regulatory program knowledge to projects.
• Act as technical liaison with client/public and outside consultants.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical content.
