Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead and contribute on sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. The role emphasizes independent work, team leadership, and expertise in sediment remediation technologies.

The candidate should have PE licensure, a Civil/Environmental/Chemical engineering background, and at least 7 years of related experience, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering with PE license.
• 7 years of related experience and willingness to travel domestically/internationally.
• Experience leading engineers/scientists on sediment remediation projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation plans for various settings.
• Understand sediment transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling and dredge approaches.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
• Act as task manager on sediment sites, communicating technical strategy to clients.
• Serve as liaison with client, public, and outside consultants; communicate complex evaluations simply.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical documents for regulatory compliance.
