Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) is seeking a Technology Specialist to mentor field teams in low voltage security technology, develop playbooks, and lead training initiatives. You will own documentation, support escalations, and ensure compliance with safety standards across projects.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional groups to sustain system standards, create knowledge base articles, and assist in handoffs from project to service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in electronics, IT, engineering tech, or related field preferred.
• Extensive hands-on field service, installations, and technical support experience.
• Experience in training development, coaching, or internal education programs preferred.
• Industry certifications and trainings can be obtained during the first year.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead technician training programs.
• Perform regular technician skill assessments on site.
• Conduct onsite training in live environments.
• Support technician development plans through feedback and mentoring.
• Nominate technicians to optimize workload and develop team capabilities.
• Ensure safety compliance and standards on projects.
• Act as top-tier technical escalation for complex issues.
• Provide remote and on-site support to resolve problems.
• Create and maintain Knowledge Base articles, playbooks, and docs.
• Participate in Post Project Reviews and QA checks for readiness.
• Validate as-built documentation and provide on-site coaching.
• Conduct performance-based assessments and contribute to training evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-technology teams to maintain shared standards.
• Interface with customers for escalations, training, or sales support.
