Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) is seeking a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of security systems across projects. You will collaborate with the project team to meet safety, quality, and code standards.

The role requires coordinating resources, conducting site walks, and ensuring successful project execution from kickoff to completion. We value strong communication, construction knowledge, and expertise in communications systems, with a focus on safety and mentoring

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 2 industry certifications (NICET, Bicsi, CTS) preferred.
• Certifications can be obtained during the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions and unknowns.
• Plan projects: coordinate resources, site access, PPE requirements and equipment with Project Manager.
• Review system functionality, schedule, and plan with customer; oversee site walk-throughs and safety hazards.
• Verify understanding of the project plan; oversee milestones and evaluate progress.
• Lead daily work plan; ensure safe practices and quality assurances.
• Inspect installations to CEC quality standards; mentor responsible parties; finalize documentation.
• Create punch lists, perform testing, coordinate customer training, and finalize documentation.
• Assist with onsite training and mentoring of less experienced team members.
• Provide input to improve project management processes and communicate with Sales/Engineering on improvements.
• Support service tickets and participate in 24/7 On Call rotation.
