Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions in New York seeks an experienced Senior Security Systems Technician responsible for programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting security systems. You will collaborate with our sales and project teams to ensure sound design and seamless installation and commissioning of access control, CCTV, and voice/data networks.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to lead field surveys, logs, and customer acceptance testing.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in a technician role within the building security systems industry.
• Knowledge of current security systems including access control, CCTV, and voice and data systems.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range to complex security systems.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for project success.
• Install, program, and commission access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Lead final acceptance by customers and owners.
