Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician to design, program, commission, and troubleshoot modern access control, CCTV, and voice/data networks. You will collaborate with the sales team, field project staff, and clients to ensure flawless installation and commissioning of security solutions.

The role requires hands-on programming, system testing, and customer acceptance, with adherence to safety policies and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years in a building security systems technician role.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range security systems.
• Intermediate computer skills for installation and programming software.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for project execution.
• Install, program, and commission access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems via laptops.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Program, commission, and obtain customer acceptance; perform troubleshooting.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Assist in inventory oversight and provide guidance to other technicians.
• Demonstrate operation of equipment to customers and respond to system signals.
• Coordinate with onsite contractors and follow safety policies.
