Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and verify compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Candidates should have 3+ years in fire and life safety, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid, clean driver’s license. Travel to various job sites and strict safety adherence are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work safely and efficiently.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
