Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to independently service and maintain security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV. You will ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements while performing inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a High school diploma and 3+ years of fire and life safety experience, with the ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.
• Shape Other Duties: Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work efficiently and safely.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
