Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. You will diagnose issues, test functionality, and ensure compliance with codes while providing professional customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 3+ years in the fire and life safety field. Ohio Fire Alarm License preferred; willingness to obtain license if needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to obtain Ohio Fire Alarm License if not currently licensed.
• Must live in the Dayton, OH surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions promptly.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
• Complete service documentation and work orders accurately and on time.
