Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems. The role requires diagnosing issues, ensuring compliance with codes, and performing preventive maintenance across diverse sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in the field, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
