Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire and Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain fire alarms, intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV and other low-voltage systems. The role ensures systems operate correctly, meet customer expectations, and comply with codes and standards.

You will read blueprints, use hand tools, complete documentation, travel to sites, and adhere to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial fire and security systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record, if driving role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarms and security systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions promptly.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Read wiring diagrams and blueprints; document service work accurately.
• Travel to job sites as required; communicate status to customers and team.
