Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Lead Security Systems Technician to act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for security system installations (card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems). Ensure job completion meets quality and safety requirements while maintaining staff efficiency on the project.

The role requires certification in access control systems and ability to read and interpret drawings, with responsibility for leading teams and interfacing with customers on-site.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security systems installation.
• Minimum of twelve (12) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Lead project crews, supervising up to ten technicians and providing training as needed.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion per manufacturer drawings and guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Security Systems Project Manager to maintain productivity and budget.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders, change orders).
• Serve as the main on-site customer contact and participate in facility/construction meetings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems.
