Job summary

Network Cabling Services (NCS) seeks a Lead Security Technician to oversee installation and execution of security system projects. You will lead field operations, mentor junior technicians, coordinate schedules, safety, and quality to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong experience with access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems, the ability to read blueprints, and travel as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience in security system installation and leadership roles.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV and intrusion systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support small project teams (2–4 technicians) or phases of larger projects.
• Coordinate daily field activities to ensure productivity and quality standards.
• Conduct site walks, construction meetings, and coordinate with GCs and stakeholders.
• Maintain site safety compliance, PPE requirements, and overall job site organization.
• Prepare and manage material pick tickets, daily progress reports, redline drawings, labeling, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems; run cabling through walls, ceilings, floors.
• Install and configure access control systems; wire and terminate panels; perform testing and commissioning.
• Program and troubleshoot access control and camera systems; ensure systems meet project specifications.
• Maintain accurate test results and documentation; support final inspections and substantial completion.
