Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to troubleshoot and service security systems, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and Card Access. You will work with customers to address issues and coordinate with authorities as needed.

As a trusted adviser, you will provide solutions, repairs, and quotes to improve facility efficiency, often working from a remote location with provided tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras; HIRSCH Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferred: Fire alarm experience.
• Preferred: Some college.
• Preferred: NICET II or greater.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service commercial security systems (burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, Card Access).
• Alleviate customer concerns regarding security systems and report status to customer care.
• Repair or replace damaged equipment; test for proper operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire, or other authorities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and optimize facility efficiency.
