Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to troubleshoot and service security systems, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and Card Access.

You will work with customers to diagnose issues and restore full operation from a field location. You will read and locate faults, repair or replace faulty components, coordinate inspections with authorities as needed, and provide quotes and upsell where appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• HIRSCH Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and service security systems for customers.
• Explain status and coordinate inspections with care centers.
• Repair/replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and Card Access equipment.
• Operate independently from a field location with provided tools.
• Provide solutions to improve building efficiency and upsell when appropriate.
• Prepare reports and quotes for recommended solutions.
