Job summary

A leading cybersecurity company is seeking a Senior Security Sales Engineer for the Public Sector. Qualifications

Senior Security Sales Engineer, Public Sector

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Presales Senior Security Engineer, Public Sector to join our team. You will drive sales success and enhance customer experience through your technical expertise, working closely with Sales Representatives and supporting Federal Civilian Agencies and the broader U.S. Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Technical Excellence: Present demonstrations of Tenable’s platform, showcasing value and differentiation.
  2. Manage Evaluations: Oversee enterprise software trials and proofs of value aligned with customer goals.
  3. Solve Customer Challenges: Address security and compliance needs with consultative expertise.
  4. Engage and Educate: Answer technical questions, present at events, and share insights.
  5. Support Sales Efforts: Collaborate with sales teams to meet revenue targets and respond to RFIs/RFPs.
  6. Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Technical expertise in architecting solutions across enterprise IT, Cloud, and OT/IOT infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security trends, ecosystem, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security principles.
  • Understanding of compliance standards (NIS2, PCI, FISMA, SOX, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to document activities and collaborate effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CISSP or similar.
  • Network security knowledge and enterprise OS experience.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools, scripting, and Python SDK.
