Job summary

Blackhawk Security, a Security 101 Company, seeks a Senior Security Installation Technician to lead installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems on diverse projects. This role supports Project Managers with scheduling and field execution, ensuring designs meet specifications and client needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a senior security installation technician.
• Hands-on with access control and CCTV platforms (Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon).
• Experience with intrusion detection systems (Bosch or similar).
• Strong understanding of system programming, networking and deployment.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills; able to train team members and clients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to lift 25+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, terminate, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV and security systems.
• Support Project Manager with on-site scheduling, field execution and equipment coordination.
• Lead, mentor and support Installation Technicians I & II on projects of varying size.
• Inspect new installations to ensure design, quality, and performance standards.
• Complete required documentation (timesheets, service reports, testing, closeout packages).
• Support preventative maintenance, system design, client walkthroughs and input for Engineering and Sales.
