Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Security Engineer to support day-to-day security operations, email threat monitoring and remediation, vulnerability tracking, and incident handling in a remote US-based role.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Proofpoint experience (PPS/TAP/TRAP/URL Defense/Attachment Defense), vulnerability management, and incident response know-how, plus familiarity with CrowdStrike and SIEM/SOAR workflows. Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Proofpoint email security platforms and related controls.
• Monitor email security health and investigate phishing or malicious alerts.
• Configure and maintain email security policies (spam, impersonation, DLP, encryption, SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
• Support Vulnerability Management activities including scan review, remediation tracking, and SLA follow-up.
• Coordinate patching and remediation with application, infrastructure and security teams.
• Assist Incident Response activities by analyzing alerts and documenting outcomes.
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and service health summaries for leadership review.
• Support integration of security tools with SIEM, SOAR, Azure AD, M365, ITSM, or CMDB.
