Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Hartford, CT is seeking a Cybersecurity Ops Technologist I focusing on email security. You will own the day-to-day administration of Proofpoint, optimize threat prevention, and ensure secure mail flow in a hybrid M365/on-premises environment.

This hands-on role requires deep product-level expertise in enterprise email security. Ideal candidates have 2+ years on secure email gateways, DKIM/SPF/DMARC mastery, and experience supporting SOC incident handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology field.
• 2+ years of experience in a technology-related role.
• Hands-on administration of secure email gateways (Proofpoint, Mimecast, Cisco, MS Defender for O365) at scale.
• Experience configuring quarantine policies and gateway rulesets.
• Strong knowledge of DKIM, SPF, DMARC and email authentication.
• Experience in hybrid Microsoft 365 and on-premises Exchange environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Proofpoint deployment in a hybrid environment.
• Design and maintain mail flow policies and quarantine strategies.
• Own DKIM, SPF, DMARC strategy end-to-end.
• Manage mail relay configurations across Microsoft 365 and on-prem Exchange.
• Analyze threat intelligence to identify phishing and malware campaigns.
• Collaborate with SOC to build automated response playbooks.
• Serve as email security escalation point for issues.
• Evaluate integration with M365 Defender for Office 365.
• Communicate trends and risk posture to leadership.
