Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Security Engineer to work remotely in the US, supporting day-to-day security operations, email threat monitoring and remediation, and vulnerability tracking. The role includes incident handling, patch coordination, and regular reporting for leadership across a global delivery model.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Proofpoint experience, vulnerability management skills, and familiarity with CrowdStrike and SIEM/SOAR integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 5–8 years in cybersecurity operations, email security, vulnerability management, or incident response.
• Hands-on Proofpoint experience with PPS, TAP, TRAP, DLP, URL Defense, and Attachment Defense.
• Phishing analysis, email threat campaigns, malware indicators, and payload investigation.
• Experience with CVE, CVSS, remediation prioritization, patching workflows, and risk-based VM.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, hybrid mail environments, SMTP/DNS/TLS.
• Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or Proofpoint Certified Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Proofpoint email security platforms and related controls.
• Monitor email security health, investigate phishing alerts, and support remediation.
• Configure and maintain spam filtering, impersonation protection, DLP, encryption, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
• Support vulnerability management activities including scan review and remediation tracking.
• Coordinate patching and closure of vulnerabilities with multiple teams.
• Assist in incident response by analyzing alerts and documenting outcomes.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and service health summaries for leadership.
