Job summary

Amazon.com (AWS Forward Deployed Engineering) seeks a Senior Security Engineer to embed with delivery teams and own the security posture of production AI systems deployed at customer sites. You will drive threat modeling, security automation, and architectural guardrails across multi-tenant AI pipelines.

You will implement AI-specific security controls, integrate security into CI/CD workflows, and respond to incidents in production environments, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security design, incident response, cloud security, and AI security experience
• 5+ years identifying security issues and mitigations
• 4+ years scripting, programming, and security code review
• Knowledge of multiple languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go
• Experience with threat modeling and penetration testing

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling, and architecture assessments for production AI systems
• Embed with FDE delivery teams in customer environments; assess infrastructure security posture
• Build security automation and tooling: scanning, testing, monitoring capabilities
• Implement controls for AI-specific threats: prompt injection, guardrail bypass, model endpoint hardening
• Integrate security into FDE engineering workflows: CI/CD security gates, secrets management
• Triage and respond to security incidents in production AI systems; build monitoring and alerting
• Document solutions as reusable patterns, playbooks, and architectural guidance
• Requires up to 25% travel
