Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to set the technical vision for protecting systems, data, and patients. You will partner with Engineering on DevSecOps and drive secure design across Azure, AWS, and data platforms, while staying hands-on with complex problems.

You will lead threat modeling, incident response, and security governance, ensuring HITRUST, HIPAA, and NIST compliance while mentoring a security engineering team and guiding cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/Info Security or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, AWS Security Specialty, or similar preferred.
• 10+ years in security engineering/architecture roles with healthcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision for security stack across endpoint, email, data loss prevention, and more.
• Define long-term cloud and identity security strategy across Azure/EntraID and AWS.
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for healthcare platforms and data stores.
• Define DevSecOps strategy and security gates across SDLC/CI/CD pipelines.
• Serve as escalation point for high-stakes security events and strengthen incident playbooks.
